Sheet A · Building construction
General building construction in St. Louis, planned before the first trade arrives
A general contractor with its own tradespeople, a pre-construction team that settles budget and schedule early, and one on-site contact who answers for the job.
Chapter 01
Budgets, schedules and coordination are settled before ground breaks
Raineri's building work starts well ahead of mobilization. Michael Riehl, Director of Pre-Construction, leads the effort to develop the budget, build the schedule and map job-site coordination while the drawings are still being settled. The goal is plain: an owner should know what the building costs and when it opens before the first trade shows up, not find out in month four.
Constructability review and trade coordination happen in that same window. Questions about sequence, access, long-lead material and neighboring operations get answered on paper, where they cost an afternoon, instead of on site, where they cost a crew. The same detailed scheduling carries through construction, so the plan the owner approved is the plan the foremen are actually working from.
As a general building contractor, Raineri is active in academic, healthcare, hospitality and entertainment, commercial, federal, state and municipal, industrial, multi-family and senior living, and retail work. Each sector comes with its own rules, review boards and calendars, and the planning phase is where those get written into the schedule rather than discovered along the way.

Our own tradespeople, and trade partners chosen on purpose
Raineri self-performs labor with in-house tradespeople, then brings in strategic trade partners where a specialty calls for them. That mix keeps firm control of schedule and quality on the work Raineri does itself, while still giving the owner specialist crews on the scopes that need them. Project Directors Barry Ash, Russ Kreis and Adam Link run building jobs from kickoff through turnover.
Lean management keeps the structure thin. Fewer handoffs mean a question raised in the field reaches someone who can decide it the same day, and detailed scheduling lays out each trade's window so work does not stack up and wait on itself. That discipline is what the firm brings to hospitality and mixed-use work such as Hotel Indigo St. Louis and Clayton on the Park.
The same approach carries into the public and institutional side of the register: Miriam Academy and Rockwood School District locations, Winfield-Foley Fire Protection District Station 1, the boiler and HVAC updates at the Missouri School for the Blind, and exterior and interior upgrades at the Harry S Truman Building. Kingsland Walk Senior Living sits in the same run of named St. Louis-area jobs.
Chapter 03
How the owner follows the job from the first week to turnover
Every Raineri project has a single on-site point of contact, so the owner never has to work out who to call. That person is backed by a Procore project portal that gives a 360-degree view of the job: the daily log, drawings, meetings, photos, RFIs, schedule, specifications and submittals, all reachable through the Raineri contact assigned to the project.
Behind the field sits the part owners rarely see until it saves them trouble. Raineri brings construction accounting, lending and development incentives support to the table, along with compliance work, and it backs that with deep bonding capacity and strong financials. For an owner financing a building, that support is part of the build, not a separate errand.
Safety is run as a program, not a poster. The Safety Starts Here program and a company-created Injury and Illness Prevention Plan set expectations for every crew and every trade partner on site. Owners who want to understand how Raineri manages risk can ask about the firm's safety rating when they call, and the team will walk through it.
Recent building work includes Clayton on the Park, Hotel Indigo St. Louis, Kingsland Walk Senior Living, Miriam Academy and Winfield-Foley Fire Protection District Station 1.
